Wildflower identification
Course Details
Each week, students will visit a different location in the New Forest area to observe and identify the flora. The varied locations from coastal areas, grassland, chalk and marshland will allow the students to observe a wide variety of flowers. The course is aimed at beginners but those with some experience are welcome too. It may involve walking up to 2 – 3 miles with some hills.
Information & Support
Please bring a notebook and pen. You will also be advised to buy a hand lens. This can be obtained cheaply online and will be discussed at the first class when recommended identification guides will be also be discussed. Whilst not essential to purchase these, it will greatly improve identification skills.
In the event of bad weather, the class will be held in Lymington Community Centre, New Street, Lymington SO41 9BQ.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?
Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Advanced for those who have completed an intermediate course with us or are proficient in the subject.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?
Students need to be 19 years old or over.
There is no upper age limit.
