The course will focus on one or two types of writing each term, decided by the tutor and students at first class. This could include: short stories, novels, magazine articles, travels, autobiography, poetry, writing for children, reviews, etc.
The course covers advanced writing techniques for students aiming to write to publication standard.
This is a non-exam course.
Students are encouraged to write a little each week at home. They can, if they wish, read their work aloud in class to gain advice, suggestions and comment from the tutor and other students.

Suitable both for beginners who want to explore writing creatively and for experienced writers who have either had work published, have had success in writing competitions or have attended the basic creative writing course.
Courses are run continually, and you will be able to join these to further develop your skills.
Please bring a pen and paper to the class.
If writing to be published you will need a computer or typewriter.
