Yogalates
Course Details
Yogalates combines yoga and Pilates to sustain and improve posture, and correct alignment and balance. This class is designed to increase core and muscle strength, enhancing body tone while maintaining flexibility and mobility. All this will be done with breath control while listening to your body and promoting good muscle memory. It is important that you get the best from the class. This may mean it is appropriate to use a chair, yoga block, cushion or towel to add value to a particular exercise. Each class will commence with a short warm up. You will then build up a repertoire of exercises and find the level that is most suited to your personal needs. Each class ends with relaxation.
Information & Support
Clothing should be comfortable and enable ease of movement while allowing the line of the body to be seen. This helps maintain safe practice. Please wear layers to allow for warmth and coolness as needed. Shoes will not be worn, so slipper socks are a good addition to your kit, especially in the winter. You will also need a non-slip Pilates or yoga mat, a cushion, and a towel for support and to act as a prop. In addition, please bring a bottle of water for rehydration. Please seek the advice of your medical physician if you are receiving treatment, have received treatment recently, or you are any in doubt about a condition that could affect your participation.
