Course introduction
Abstract photography is difficult to define. But by focusing in on something, whether it be colour, shape, form, texture, movement or light, a photographer is able to create a unique perception of familiar objects to capture the viewer’s imagination. There’s no exact step-by-step guide to creating the abstract, but there are some general principles photographers can experiment with in order to bring their photographs into the abstract realm. Several of these you will experiment with during this course. This is a hands-on programme, and you will have the opportunity to set-up and capture images throughout the day. Editing techniques can be discussed and demonstrated if time permits.
