Course introduction

This Level 3 qualification provides the knowledge and understanding of the three core theories that underpin the development of counselling skills and reflective practice. It has been designed to develop the skills and knowledge gained at Level 2.

As a learner you will work towards becoming a reflective practitioner of counselling by considering theories of human development, self-awareness, supervision and issues of difference and diversity. You will also improve your understanding of the need for a firm grasp of a coherent theoretical approach to counselling. This is particularly important if are planning to work in a supervised placement or progress to Level 4 Counselling.

Mandatory units:

  • Developing counselling skills
  • Reflective practice
