Emergency First Aid at Work – 1 day
Course introduction
You can gain the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies by selecting this learning opportunity. It is especially suited to employees working for a small business, or in a low-risk environment where a nominated First Aider is not legally required. The course covers first aid protocols for adults only.

This programme is classroom-based and uses a practical, hands-on approach. You will be assessed continuously throughout the day.
Information & support
You will be required to bring a pen and a notepad. Importantly, you will be provided with a comprehensive visual handbook and Emergency Reference Manual. Please wear comfortable clothing – trousers are advisable.
Cost
The course fee is £100, which includes certification and the handbook.
Course structure
1. Assessing the casualty and unconsciousness.
2. Injuries to eyes, bones, muscles and joints.
3. Poisoning.
4. CPR and choking.
5. Wounds, bleeding, burns and scalding.
6. Client-specific subjects including diabetes, epilepsy and allergic reactions.

Emergency First Aid at Work is designed to enable you to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work. It is also a favourable addition to your CV. If you choose to engage with our three-day course, you could become a nominated first aider at your workplace.
