Course introduction


The yoga class starts with a few minutes of quiet reflection followed by a gentle practice aimed at improving balance, strengthening and toning the body, linking breath and movement.    All postures can be modified to allow maximun participation in the practice. The class also explores breathing and meditation techniques and ends with relaxation.

The tutor demonstrates the postures, gives clear instructions and plenty of encouragement.

Course information


Suitable for all ages and abilities.  No experience necessary. If you have any medical/physical problems which may affect your participation, please consult a doctor/physio/chiropractor prior to commencing the course. If you are concerned about your ability to exercise or any medical conditions, please discuss with the tutor. (As with all exercise classes, students are required to complete a simple and confidential health questionnaire).

What do I need to bring to the course?

Yoga mat. Block or small cushion
Wear loose and stretchy clothing
