At Brock we give you access to two very different graphic design suites – one for digital design and one for traditional design.
Each year we run trips to UK universities and international locations. Recent destinations have included Hollywood, Prague and Iceland.
All our Graphics teachers are experienced designers with contacts in both industry and higher education.
Teaching & learning
To enable you to work at your own pace we have created a range of videos on how to use design software. You can access these through the eBrock portal.
You will also learn by participating in creative workshops that cover areas like mono printing, screen-printing, block printing and typography.
In addition, your teachers will encourage you to use social media, as well as college facilities, for visual and annotated research.
Minimum entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above with a minimum average GCSE score of 4.0, including:
- Art and Design or Graphic Design or another art-related subject is essential. On rare occasions, we will take on a student without a creative GCSE subject by looking at a portfolio of art, photography and design work.

- Benefit from specialist tutors who will help you develop your computer aided design skills using raster and vector based programs.
- Learn using interactive online tutorials to develop skills and techniques specific to the tasks set in your coursework project.
- Develop research skills by exploring the work of different artists, illustrators, graphic designers, animators, character artists, pattern designers, concept artists and photographers.
- Investigate different means of visual representation including relief printing, metal and wood block typography printing, digital imagery and combined mixed media.
- Improve your visual communication and analyse applications for it across different creative industry sectors.
- Receive the encouragement you need to express yourself fully within areas and disciplines of your choice.
