Minimum entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above with a minimum average GCSE score of 4.0, including:

Course structure
- Study a variety of units to discover more about areas that interest you using modern software packages: MS Visual Studio 2017; Unity; Adobe Animate; MS Office 2016 (365 for CS students).
- Become skilled in cybersecurity to ensure you can protect your systems against malicious threats.
- Investigate potential ideas for new application development, from design through to prototyping.
- Acquire new insights into the Internet of Things, examining the impact on individuals and society.
- Apply Object Oriented Programming knowledge in C# to game development using Unity and GitHub for repository management.
- Become proficient in full stack web development, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Design and build fully functioning client/server networks.

By successfully completing this qualification you will become a more suitable candidate for employment and higher-level apprenticeships across the full spectrum of industries – not just IT.
You may also use this qualification to get into university, where you may choose to study a degree or HND course.
