Photography Workshop – Digital Camera Basics – Part 2
Dates & LocationsCourse introduction
This is a follow-on course from Digital Camera Basics – Part 1 or for those who have a basic knowledge of their camera settings and buttons. The day will be all about shooting a variety of images in different lighting conditions. Using depth of field to draw focus to our subject, the use of reflectors and flash to lift shadows and fill, along with framing and composition.
As we set-up each subject for shooting, we will discuss the light where we have shadows, how to lift those shadows etc. We will look at what camera settings to use and why, looking at the cameras’ histogram and fine tuning the camera settings and lighting to give us the result we want to achieve not the result the camera wants to give us. Students will look at where to focus and how to achieve shallow and deep depth of field in a variety of situations.
You will be taught by means of practical demonstration and hands-on experience. This is a practical workshop.
