Course introduction


This follow-on, one-day workshop is for people who wish to further develop their sewing skills and see how much more their sewing machine can do. You will be given information on threads, machine needles and fabric types to ensure trouble-free sewing. This will be followed by learning basic and more advanced decorative sewing techniques to get you started. You will be taught through practical demonstrations and hands-on experience. Your Tutor will show you various techniques at relevant points during the day.

Information & support


Please bring your sewing machine, machine accessories and instruction manual. Please also bring a selection of fat quarters (plain and patterned) or small fabric scraps, plus scissors, pins, spare machine needles, and a variety of dark threads to include black, dark blue and red (Gutterman). A notebook and pen will be useful as well. In addition, please bring a packed lunch. Your Tutor will provide a pack for a small project to be completed during the workshop. Please bring £4.00 cash to pay to her directly.
