Social Life

Brock has a vibrant social scene, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

From the social activities organised throughout the year by the Students’ Union to the varied Enrichment programme available to help you pursue your interests or try something new.

You are sure to enjoy many new experiences and make new friends.

The Students’ Union

Our elected Students’ Union (SU) gives all learners a voice which can be heard at governing body level.

Students get a chance to join the SU executive in November and elections for the president and vice president take place in March.

As well as dealing with important College issues, the SU arranges social functions such as:

  • Freshers events
  • Children in Need and Comic Relief fundraising
  • Christmas Fayre
  • Leavers photos

When you sign up for your course you automatically become a member of the College SU. The SU is associated with the NUS, a national body representing students interests in colleges and universities across the country.

If you want to join the NUS you can sign up for membership on their website. The NUS card costs £12, it provides discounts in many high street and online shops.

In addition to our wide range of academic courses, we offer an extensive Enrichment programme. These extra courses are completed alongside your main studies and are a great opportunity to learn a new skill, take up a hobby or complete an additional qualification.

Our Enrichment programme includes sports, community service, study trips and work experience, which can really enhance your university application or CV.
