Welcome to the Music Department.

There are many opportunities for you to get involved in practical music here at Brock.

One to One Lessons

We currently offer individual lessons in the following instruments:

  • Flute
  • Claranet
  • Saxaphone
  • Oboe
  • Guitar & Bass Guitar
  • Voice
  • Percussion
  • Drums
  • Piano
  • Double Bass
  • Cello

The individual lessons run from late September to May Half Term and will be timetabled outside of normal lessons.

You will have 25 lessons over the year of 1/2hr a week and can take up to 2 instruments.

We subsidise all the instrumental lessons but the cost varies depending on the courses you are studying.

Paying for Lessons

We request that the payment is made in full at the start of the Autumn Term, but you you can pay in three equal instalments to be paid by  14th September, 2nd November and 1st December.

To do this please search for ‘ Instrumental lessons’ at our online Brockshop, (which can be accessed via the portals).

Tick the right instrument and payment option; once this is done you will be allocated a lesson slot.

If you would like to take up individual lessons please complete the form below and hand into Tara Gadd in the Performing Arts Office by the entrance to the college or Student Services.

  • If you are ill and will miss a lesson you must contact Tara Gadd tgadd@brock.ac.uk directly or if you are on a college trip or university open day you must inform the teacher t least 2 weeks in advance. If you do not do this you will be charged for the lesson.
