More than a thousand people attended Brockenhurst College’s family fun day – BrockFest – on Saturday, with the lead organiser hailing the event ‘a great success’.
Approximately 1,250 people of all ages stepped through the college gates between 10:00am and 4:00pm to eat, drink, chat, browse, and enjoy the sunshine, with temperatures peaking at 22C.
Food and drink vendors sold a diverse range of refreshment options, providing something for everyone.
Meanwhile, local producers sold their wares and charities set-up-shop to describe their work and take donations.
There were also fairground attractions for youngsters to enjoy, plus lambs and goats brought by The Commoners Larder.
Live music was performed on stage by Brock students, who helped create a festival atmosphere.
In addition, Brock’s newest marketing asset, TECH:TRUCK, which is shared by several colleges in the south, was on site to promote courses and careers in the maritime, digital and net-zero sectors.
Head of Marketing and Communications at Brock, Rebekah Donawa, said: “BrockFest has been a great success, both for strengthening our relations with the local community and providing an enjoyable day out for all the family.
“My most sincere thanks go to all the vendors, sponsors, student ambassadors, stall holders, traders, charities and student performers, who all worked together so well in the spirit of having fun.”
