Marchwood Skills Centre’s Lesley and Matt give live online presentation for Maritime UK Week

Brock’s Lesley Chantler and Matt Rolph represented THREE colleges when they gave an online presentation last week as part of Maritime UK Week.

The pair presented for 1hr 45mins about courses and careers to hundreds of viewers during the Solent Virtual Careers Fair segment of the week’s itinerary.

They spoke not only about Brock’s Skills Centre at Marchwood, but about Fareham College and Southampton City College as well.

Other organisations presenting included the Merchant Navy, British Marine and the Port of London.

Lesley said: “We were really pleased to take this opportunity to reach out to would-be students, businesses and other colleges.

“Engagement initiatives like this are important for reminding young people that there is still a bright future for them, despite the current COVID restrictions.”
