In joining our golf academy, you become a member of Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club where you will have full access of the course and practice facilities.
The academy is already earning an excellent reputation as the national Inter-Collegiate champions of 2011 and some of our students have received golf scholarships to American universities.
Students receive coaching from Hampshire PGA professional coaches (fees will apply).
Teams are selected to play in two national competitions, the British Schools and Colleges Tour and the InterCollegiate Tour, where students compete against other golf academies at a regional level and, if successful, in national finals.
In addition to preparing for potential careers as professional golfers, the Academy training can also act as a first step into a range of careers including golf club professionals, coaches, referees, caddies or personal trainers.
Why Join Us?
The course, for male and female players, develops a range of technical, tactical and other skills, together with physical preparation.
Regular training and support activities include group and individual coaching sessions, fitness analysis, physical training, psychological skills development, dietary analysis and nutritional advice.
Communication skills, health and safety and career planning also play an important part in training; students maintain lesson records and playing statistics.
This covers all aspects of the game including chipping, pitching, bunker play and putting, as well as course management.
The course has seen a high level of success; one of our students was the England Ladies Amateur Champion in 2010 and the England Girls Champion and Daily Telegraph Junior Champion in 2011; she is now on a scholarship at Baylor College in Texas, USA.
In 2015 students from the Academy won both the individual male and female Hampshire Schools Competitions and qualified for the British Schools and Colleges Tour finals in St Andrews.
Brock alumni Jordan Ainley was not only 2012 Hampshire Boys County Golf Champion, but also the Hampshire Mens’ County Golf Champion.
Jordan wrote a chapter in the county’s amateur golf history books by becoming the first player ever to win both the mens’ and junior titles in the same season.
This is the first time that the same person has held both awards in the 62-year history of the awards.
