The University of Cambridge studying Maths

Congratulations on your results. How do you feel?

I feel enormously relieved now I know I have secured my place at university. I’ve wanted to go to Cambridge since I was 15, and I’m just delighted to have finally achieved my goal. I’ve had an amazing experience studying at Brock and leave with some brilliant memories.

Are there any members of staff who have particularly helped you during your studies?

I’m so grateful to my teachers who have guided me through the whole process. Mario Sheath, my Maths teacher, made a big impact on me. His lessons were perfect, very laid back and casual, which brought out the best in me.

What has been your highlight while attending Brock?

My highlight of my time at Brock was being part of the Basketball Academy. We became a close-knit group. It really broke up my week and provided much-needed relief from my studies.

Have you taken up any extra opportunities?

The Physics trip to Geneva was amazing. You would struggle to find a student who wouldn’t tell you how brilliant it was. We were able to witness concepts in real life that we had only discussed in the classroom.

What did you enjoy or find particularly inspiring about your subject?

Physics was taught in a very mature environment. It was very enjoyable and the trip to Geneva was unmissable.

What are you planning to do next?

I’m so excited to be heading to the University of Cambridge to study Maths. I fell in love with the idea while doing my GCSEs, and I can’t believe I’m going.
