At Brock we offer a range of training opportunities designed to help people either launch or further their careers. This means gaining new qualifications and learning new industry skills.

All courses are run by expert tutors who give learners the benefit of industry‐standard tools and equipment. Options range from one‐day training courses to part‐time and full‐time courses in specific industry sectors. Some programmes are also available as Distance Learning, enabling learners to fit study around work and other commitments.

If you are an employer with specific requirements and organisational commitments, we can assist in helping create a bespoke training package to suit you and your business. We currently deliver a range of courses at various levels that are accredited by professional bodies. For example, we work with Mindful Education to provide AAT Accounting and Bookkeeping programmes. There is also a range of free and chargeable distance learning courses available in areas such as counselling and health & safety.

Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way of reducing training and recruitment costs while increasing productivity and developing a skilled and motivated workforce for the future.

Quickstart provides a range of programmes across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset to help job seekers gain employment, or progress into Further Education or an apprenticeship. This government funded scheme provides training, advice and support for job‐seekers, the long‐term unemployed and people made redundant. Services are free and are run in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, local government and employers. Anyone aged 19+ can apply.

Construction (CSCS, banksman and awareness certificates).

Highwood Nursery

We have regular meetings with our training providers who give us the off-the-job training element and provide Apprentices with work to complete. The also have regular contact with the candidates and support them with learning and understanding their role.

New Forest Activities

We cannot fault Brockenhurst College at all. They have supported us for many years with our Apprentices. They have always been at the end of a telephone or email and regularly visit the workplace to see the candidates. They then update us as employers after every meeting.
