Annie
My ambition is to progress in the design industry, and the eventual goal is to work as a designer. College definitely helped me explore this area through subjects related to art and design and made me see that a career within this was possible.

A Levels Art, English, Textiles, Communication and Culture
Graduated in 2015 with a 2:1.

Most of my year group at Priestlands School chose Brockenhurst College. Personally, I wanted to feel I was going to something higher than school, which is why I didn’t choose a sixth form option. Also, I had taken regular dance lessons at Brock in the evenings while growing up, so I was already familiar with the College.
I have always been a very creative person, which is something my family and friends have encouraged me to develop through my studies. College is a very significant time in growing up and finding out what areas you like and don’t like. For example, I like to feel challenged as well as being hands on and getting a chance to experiment with my creativity and learn new things.
After college I went to the Arts University Bournemouth and studied an art and design foundation degree, specialising in fashion and textiles in the last term. From this I went on to study a degree in Fashion Design at Birmingham City University and graduated in 2015 with a 2:1.
