How does the scheme aid your long-term human resources strategy?
“Apprenticeships are key to the long-term future and success of our company. Having an in-house apprenticeship programme ensures we are training for our business needs. As an Apprentice moves through his/her training they become an integral part of their department. More than 90% of our Apprentice graduates are offered full-time roles with the company post-apprenticeship. With a far more transient workforce in the UK going forward, it is important to train and look after Apprentices well to encourage loyalty.”
What advice would you give to a fellow employer who is thinking about getting an Apprentice?
Apprentices are vital to the success of a company. Skills are at a premium, and if you grow your own skilled workforce you will have a team that understands how your business works.
