I was drawn to Brock by the sports facilities. While studying here I was a member of the Hockey Academy, so the astro pitch was perfect, and everyone I spoke to beforehand said the sports courses were excellent. Also, my former school didn’t offer my course as a Level 3 programme.

Studied:

Sport & Exercise Science Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma

Where are you now?

Sport, Business & Marketing at Winchester University

The social side of Brock was definitely one of the highlights. I’ve made some of the best friends ever while studying here. And even though I’m off to uni and many of them are off travelling, I know I’m still going to have them.

My teachers were incredible. They made sure I was working hard, progressing well and getting everything I needed. Even if I emailed them at night, they’d still reply to give me answers.

University fairs and employment fairs were really useful because I had all the information I felt I needed in one place. Uni fairs, in particular, gave me opportunities to ask about course content and entry requirements, which really helped me.

Another highlight for me was my work experience at AFC Bournemouth, where I helped coach kids and participated in community outreach initiatives. It was an incredible experience and something I can now put on my CV.

I’m now going to study at Winchester University where I’ve chosen Sport, Business and Marketing. Eventually I’d like to go into sports marketing, either on the branding side or the sponsorship side. Right now there isn’t a lot of money going into women’s sports, so I’d like to do something to improve that situation.
