Imogen Daniel

I feel relieved that all my revision and hard work throughout the year has paid off. I’m really pleased to have got into my first-choice university to do my dream course.

Studied:

A Level Psychology, Biology and Chemistry

What made you choose to study at Brock?

It was the college where my brother had a good experience. That really sealed the deal for me.

What extra opportunities have you taken while studying at Brock?

Science Live.

How do you feel now about your subject(s)?

Biology was my most challenging subject, but very interesting, which made me pleased I chose it. Psychology stands out as my favourite subject because it is so interesting and relevant to everyday life. Chemistry was good, but your experience tends to depend on how good you are at maths.

Are there any members of staff you feel have particularly helped you?

Rachael Fowkes was amazing as my Biology teacher; she was super-supportive and encouraging, as well as being incredibly dedicated with all her marking and feedback. Hannah Coast was also brilliant at teaching me Psychology. She made the classroom a fun place to learn and was always encouraging us to complete extra work that she would mark.

What have been your highlights or best experiences while attending Brock?

I really enjoyed the Science Live event in my first year, which was really interesting. Then, in my second year, I can recall many enjoyable times in class despite the pressure of looming exams.

How do you feel about your results?

I feel relieved that all my revision and hard work throughout the year has paid off. I’m also really pleased to have got into my first-choice university to do my dream course.

What are you planning to do next?

I’m heading to the University of Sussex to study Psychology.

What are your long-term career goals?

I’d like to become an educational psychologist, which could mean working as a teacher at some stage as well.
