Where are you now?

The University of Bath studying Engineering

Congratulations on your results. How do you feel?

“I feel pretty good and relieved. When I sat the exams I didn’t expect myself to do this well.”

Are there any members of staff in particular you feel have especially helped you on your journey?

“Both my Maths teacher Mario and my Chemistry teacher Ian were really good teachers. I feel really grateful to have had them.”

What have been your ‘highlights’ or best experiences while attending Brock?

“The CERN trip, which was part of my Physics course, was so good. It fitted in really well with what I was studying at the time, which really benefitted me.”

What made you choose to study at Brock?

“Lots of my friends chose to study at Brock, and the social side of the College was really appealing for me.”

What extra opportunities have you taken while studying at Brock?

“I did some work experience for Esso. This involved a lot of shadowing, which was really helpful and interesting.”

What did you enjoy or find particularly inspiring about your subjects?

“I really liked my Maths class. We all became very close, which brought a nice community feel. Everyone was always willing to help one another.”

What are you planning to do next?

“I will be studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath.”

What are your long-term career goals?

“I would love to pursue something in chemical engineering.”

Did your time at Brock help you to decide what you might like to do?

“Studying Maths at Brock has made me more confident about studying a mathematical subject at university.”
