What made you want to study at Brockenhurst College?

“Brock’s courses give you the freedom and independence to study in your own time, which acts as a brilliant steppingstone to university. On top of that, the Enrichment system gives you a wide range of opportunities to participate in activities outside of your course content, which is a great way to learn something new and have some fun at the same time.”

What did you enjoy most about your course(s)?

“I loved how passionate the teachers were about their subjects. It made the lessons so much more engaging and fun.”

What were your ‘highlights’ (best experiences) while attending Brockenhurst College?

“The Physics trip to CERN in Switzerland to see the Large Hadron Collider. We got to tour the world’s biggest science experiment and learn about the physics behind it. I found it extremely interesting.”

What extra opportunities have you taken up since studying at the College? In what ways are they helping your personal development?

In my first year I joined the Robotics Enrichment, where we worked in a team to create a self-driving robot to compete at the University of Southampton. This taught me vital skills such as problem solving and teamwork, and I made plenty of new friends as well.”

What networking, employment and work experience opportunities did you undertake and how did they enhance your college experience?

“I have recently been hired to work over the summer for Bridgeworks Ltd, a local computing company that sponsors the Brock STEM Awards. I’ve learned a lot about working in the field of technology and it’s given me some really useful skills that I can use at university.”
