My education at Brock gave me a solid grounding and taught me really important core skills; through working on projects as part of my course I developed a strong work ethic, learnt the importance of attention to detail and realised that if you want to succeed you have to put 100 per cent into whatever it is you are working on.

For me, Brockenhurst College is somewhere that allowed me to mature but also learn some great skills. I also made some lifelong friends during my time there; we're still all very close. Through one of the most challenging times in my life, they were the people who supported me upon my return from the tsunami. I became a grounded, secure person - and that wouldn't have been possible without Brock. I will always be grateful to my classmates and teachers for their support and understanding during that time.
One piece of learning stands out for me and it was all about advertising and marketing in the sports industry. That’s when I said: “I like that”. We learned about how all the partnerships work, sponsorship deals with all the football, rugby and cricket clubs, TV rights and all the other commercial aspects behind sport. That’s the strongest learning memory I have from my learning at Brock.
My time spent at Brockenhurst College was very valuable and exposed me to a wide range of programmes and studies that not only broadened my skills and my knowledge base, but also taught me the value of discipline and hard work and how integral to success they are. Brockenhurst College provided me with a solid foundation from which I have been able to build upon, and that has made all the difference.
