I heard about Brock through friends. I liked the idea that it was a large college so I could meet new people. I love how you’re treated like an adult at Brock and encouraged to use facilities like the Learning Resources Centre for independent learning. All this has prepared me well for the step up to university.

I have worked for the College on several occasions both as a Students’ Union representative and as a student ambassador. This has really helped me improve my confidence, and because the roles are so customer-focussed it has greatly improved my communication skills.
The standout highlight of my time as Brock was being elected President of the Students’ Union and having the opportunity to represent my fellow students in front of the Senior Management Team.
I found my Government and Politics lessons very stimulating and enjoyed having opportunities to debate various topics like differing political ideologies.
The support and faith I received from my teachers was a real boost to my studies. Close to exams they would mark extra work that I had done, which made me more confident.
Progression Day was really inspiring. It was great to be able to speak to so many universities about the courses they offered and to understand how they differed. This helped me decide that I wanted to study Economics at University of Leeds.
