I always knew that business was my thing and the course lived up to my expectations, which were high. I liked the continuous assessments because they helped me stay on-track for a top grade.

Studied:

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business

What made you choose to study at Brock?

It was all about the reputation and nice location for me. I settled on Brock quite quickly having done my research into local colleges.

What extra opportunities have you taken while studying at Brock?

There are SO many opportunities at Brock. I can’t really list them off the top of my head. I guess the one that stands out for me is the Careers Fair, where you can just go up to potential employers and network with them. When you know a name and a face from an organisation, and they give you their card, it gives you the confidence to push on and network more.

How do you feel now about your subject(s)?

I always knew that business was my thing and the course lived up to my expectations, which were high. I particularly liked the continuous assessments because they helped me stay on-track for a top grade.

What have been your highlights or best experiences while attending Brock?

Number one is the friends I’ve made on my course. Then there’s my role as a Student Ambassador, which helped me with my confidence and public speaking. It’s also good for my CV that I was the Principal’s Ambassador, which meant I reported directly to her from the Student Ambassador team.

How do you feel about your results?

I feel fantastic. I achieved full marks, which was definitely beyond what I expected. I did expect to do reasonably well because all my learning has gone well, right from the start.

What are you planning to do next?

I have an apprenticeship lined-up with accounting firm KPMG, so I’m looking forward to doing a lot more learning in the field of finance

What are your long-term career goals?

I’d definitely like to qualify as a chartered accountant. At the same time, I’d like to actually DO business as well one day – maybe in the area of property.
