Overlocker – beginners
Course introduction
If you own an overlocker and know how to thread it, but you don’t how to adjust the stitches to get the best results, then this is the course for you. No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm. You will practise adjusting the tension settings on your overlocker machine to achieve the desired stitch quality. You will also be guided to create samples step-by-step.
Course information
You will need to bring the following to the session: your overlocker machine, sewing kit (e.g. thread, scissors, stitch unpicker, etc.), and a notepad and pen. Please ensure your overlocker is threaded with four different colours: blue, green, red, and yellow.
Please also let the centre know before the course date which overlocker you will be bringing. The tutor will supply everything you need for the initial session at an additional cost of £5, payable in cash on the day (you do not need to buy any fabric).
