Your Freshers’ Day – 27 June 2025

Your Welcome Tutor session will start at the main college site at 9:00am and will run for 20 minutes.

If you are taking the free college bus, it will get you to college in plenty of time for your first session. If you are making your own way you can arrive at any time from 8:30am.

On arrival, please go directly to the Sports Hall where you will be given your room number and guided to your first session. During this session you will be given your timetable for the day.

We have added a downloadable map so you can see where the Sports Hall is on campus. Our staff and Student Ambassadors will be there to greet and guide you as you arrive.

You can wear what you like at college as long as you are suitably covered and what you wear is not offensive to others.  However, if your programme includes sport, exercise, fitness or performing arts, please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

The Hard Brock Café will be open to serve a variety of hot and cold food.  You can pay with either cash or by card.

If the Hard Brock Café is busy, or you would like to explore the surrounding area, you can walk into Brockenhurst village where there is a mix of cafes and shops serving food.

During your break from lessons, you can:

• Attend an additional short lecture to find out about other subjects. A list of these will be given to you on the day.
• Explore the campus. There are plenty of open spaces at the College both indoors and outside. For example, the Hard Brock Café, Brock Hub or our lawns.
• Head to the Staff Lawn where our Student Ambassadors will be running garden games. You can just turn up and play any of the following:
  • Volleyball
  • Table tennis
  • Giant Jenga
  • Garden chess
• Drop by our Freshers’ Fair where you can find out more about our Enrichment options and life at Brock.
• Visit the Brock Hub where you can meet with our staff to discuss careers, course queries, skills development and pastoral support.

TIP: If you have any questions on the day, or need to find a room, just ask one of our Student Ambassadors to point you in the right direction.

Lessons finish at Brock at 12:50pm and college buses leave at 1:00pm.
