More than 40 awards were presented to students for their learning excellence and valuable contributions to the College community.

Each winner received a certificate, a citation from their nominating lecturer, and £100.00 from an awards sponsor.

Guests enjoyed a twilight celebration on the College’s front lawn, with drinks and canapés served in a marquee.

Dressed in their finest attire, attendees basked in the golden hour sunshine as they applauded the successes of Brock’s students.

The evening’s most highly anticipated honour, Student of the Year, was awarded to former St Anne’s Catholic School pupil Ella Dawes. Reflecting on her win, Ella said: “I’m so grateful to my teachers for nominating me for this award.

“The environment and the teachers at Brock are really supportive, and I’ve definitely achieved better than I would have at another College. I’m now looking forward to continuing my education at the University of York where I will study Physics.”

College Principal and CEO Helen Odhams said after the awards: “The Gala Awards are a recognition of the hard work, commitment and success of our students, and it’s fantastic that we have this opportunity to celebrate their achievements.

“Well done to all our winners, and thank you to staff who have supported and guided them along the way. I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things our students will go on to achieve in the future through our alumni community.”
