Getting here

The College is committed to enabling all students who want to study at Brockenhurst to travel here easily. Both rail and bus transport are subsidised by the College.
Frequent mainline trains and an extensive College bus network enable students to come to College from a wide area including Lymington, Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne, Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Totton, Southampton, Romsey, Salisbury, the Isle of Wight and numerous other towns and villages.
Travel application and payment forms are sent to all students who are offered a place at the College. These will be posted from 10th June onwards and they must be completed and returned to us before the 31st July to ensure that travel passes are ready for collection at the start of term in September. If you are applying for a College bus pass you will need to refer to the 09/10 College Bus timetabe to find out which zone your preferred pick up point is in. The timetable for 2010-11 will be available from the end of July and whilst pick up points may vary slightly, the zones will remain the same.
Applicants who are seeking financial assistance from their Local Authority or the College Student Support Fund, should note that we will not issue a travel pass until the application has been received and agreed, so you are strongly advised to submit your application as soon as you receive the form and not wait until exam results are received. We strongly encourage students to use public/college transport wherever possible, however if they wish to bring a car, motorcycle or moped onto the Campus they will have to buy a car park permit. Parking permits are £15 a year and proof of insurance, MOT and driving licence are required. Students must park in the areas reserved for them and we cannot guarantee a parking space will be available.
Further travel information is available from the Student Travel Co-ordinator on (01590) 625533.
