Our Student Services team is experienced in providing help, support and advice for all situations.
The team can assist with a range of topics including finance, learning difficulties, personal issues, and health and wellbeing.
They will always treat your questions or concerns with respect and confidentiality.
You can contact Student Services by emailing: studentservices@brock.ac.uk
If you require additional help with your studies, particularly if you struggle with literacy and numeracy, then we are always on-hand to give you support and advice.
Assistance may include help with study skills like time management, organisation and revision, or could be extra support with coursework.
Assistive technology will be provided to support specific needs where necessary, and the team will assess whether special exam arrangements are also appropriate.
Our specialist tutors help across the full range of curriculum areas, and all support will be individualised and confidential.
You can contact the Skills Development team by emailing: skillsdev@brock.ac.uk
If you have a history of benefitting from extra assistance, your needs will be assessed before you enrol and any necessary arrangements will be made. Our Learning Difficulties and Disabilities Manager will be happy to discuss any support needs with you.
You can contact the Learning Difficulties and Disabilities team by emailing: ldd@brock.ac.uk
The Reflections Room
The Reflections Room is a quiet space for students and staff of all faith groups, as well as for those for whom religion has no particular significance. It has been designed to be the ideal setting for prayer, quiet contemplation, or simply taking time out to reflect.
The Inspiration Room
We have a specially designed Inspiration Room, which is staffed by Learning Assistants. This facility is available for students on the autistic spectrum and other vulnerable students who might benefit from a quiet space.
This procedure outlines Brockenhurst College’s approach to supporting eligible students who are parents under the Care to Learn (C2L) funding scheme.
