Course introduction
This four-month course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to manage books effectively. You will acquire abilities in double-entry bookkeeping and gain an understanding of associated documents and processes, enabling you to work to trial balance standard.
You will study online thanks to award-winning video lessons that will be available on demand. This means you can choose when and where you want to study.
Online lessons will last for around 45 minutes and will be accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case studies will also help enhance your learning experience.
When you attend campus (fortnightly) you will benefit from classes with your college tutor. Your tutor will review what you have learned during your online lessons and will then provide guidance to support your progress ahead of your assessments. Meanwhile, regular discussions with classmates will help reinforce key points and provide you with valuable extra support and motivation.

Cost
Course duration is 16 weeks part-time.
There is a tuition fee of £414.00 in addition to a £66.00 AAT registration and membership fee.
Your course could be fully funded if you are unemployed and in receipt of benefits, or
earning less than £25,000.00 annual gross salary.
Aged 19-23 and studying towards your first full Level 2 qualification.
Learners should expect to spend around 4-5 hours studying independently online each week.
Minimum entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Previous knowledge of accounting or a Level 1 Bookkeeping qualification would be an advantage. You will be assessed to ensure your level of English meets the requirements of the course.

What can I do with this qualification?
Following successful completion of this course, you can progress to higher level AAT accounting qualifications at Level 3 and then Level 4.
The skills and knowledge you will have gained will qualify you for roles including clerical assistant, trainee bookkeeper, accounts clerk, finance assistant and accounts administrator.
