Drawing – mixed abilities

You will develop your drawing skills by focussing on the fundamental elements of art. This will comprise mark making, shaping, line-drawing, tone accentuating, texture developing, perspective creating, proportion dictating and colour addition. You will learn through demonstrations, informal discussions and one-to-one coaching. Importantly, you will learn about the work of various artists and discover how they solved problems. You will also explore a variety of media and materials to gain confidence and experience. Subject matter will vary and may include natural forms, human figures, architecture and landscapes. This course is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced artists wishing to improve their skills.

Information & support

Please bring along white cartridge paper (a ring-bound A3 sketchbook would be ideal). Also, please bring some brown wrapping paper, charcoal, pencils (such as HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B), coloured pencils, a sharpener and an eraser.
