This Level 3 Personal Training course follows on from the Level 2 Diploma in Exercise Health & Fitness, and gives you a solid start in this fast-paced industry.

Importantly, it will enable you to provide one-to-one training, baseline assessment, nutritional advice and progressive programming to meet the individual needs of your clients.

Teaching & learning


You will learn through a variety of methods, enabling you to obtain a well-rounded education.

You will gain hands-on experience through practical sessions and theoretical learning through a programme of lectures. There will also be a wealth of ICT resources to help you.

In addition, you will develop your instruction and practical skills through continual workshops, peer work and reference to the latest industry standards.

Minimum entry requirements


Four GCSEs at grade 4 and above to include:
•    English Language
•    Maths (grade 4) preferred

You must be a qualified Level 2 gym instructor and be at least 17 years old. In addition, you must have enthusiasm for exercise and fitness and attend gym or fitness classes regularly. 

Please note, equivalent qualifications will be considered for mature students.

 

What can I do with this qualification?


This qualification can lead to various different avenues of employment. All of these will enable you to gain a decent foothold in the industry.

Following successful completion of the programme you could find yourself working as a one-to-one personal trainer. Alternatively, you could opt to become a sports massage therapist.

Importantly, your qualification is recognised across Europe, Australia and the Far East, which means you could enjoy enhanced travel opportunities in the future.
