Our dedicated team will guide you through the application process, prepare you for your studies and welcome you to the College.
We recognise that as an international student you need some additional support during your studies, you can approach us with any questions you might have and we have a dedicated 24 hour emergency phone line.
As an international student you will benefit from international tutorial sessions; this is another way we support you and ensure your time at the College is enjoyable and productive.
Paul Spanner – International Manager
Paul has worked in the international education sector for the past 5 years having previously spent many years as a manager in the public sector.
He has spent much of that time travelling to key overseas education markets to promote the College to students, parents and education consultants.
As manager of the department, Paul’s main responsibility is oversee the effective operation of the team and provide strategic direction to develop the College’s international provision.
He is an enthusiastic and approachable member of the team with a genuine passion for the College and he will always go the extra mile to ensure that our students have a great experience of studying at Brock.
Melissa Murphy – Senior International Officer
Melissa joined the team in January 2014 having previously worked for 4 years within the international education industry.
She is very committed in contributing further to the College’s international vision as well as counselling students all over the world.
Melissa has extensive experience in working with students in Turkey, Brazil as well as other European countries and will be focusing on visiting East Asia in the near future.
Melissa is known for being friendly and easily approachable so she is very well liked by students, parents and education consultants.
Vanda Nutarova – International Officer
Vanda is originally from Slovakia and has been involved in the international education sector for the past 6 years.
She joined the department in 2015 having previously worked closely with the College as one of our agents, sending students to study with us.
As an international officer Vanda is responsible for recruitment of new students, focusing mainly on Latin America and Europe.
Besides traveling Vanda is always happy to help and advise our students to make sure they have a great experience at the College.
Vanda brings a different perspective to the team and is very enthusiastic about bringing new international students to study with us to experience British culture and life.
Samantha Ettle – International Student Experience Officer
Sam has largely remained in the education sector working within a variety of supportive, administrative & teaching roles in the UK, New Zealand, China and South Korea since her graduation.
She joined the team in February 2014 after spending 4 months supporting students and parents within a different College role.
She brings in her passion for travel & foreign culture as well as personal experience of being new into a different country and culture.
She is very enthusiastic about working with international students and adding to their UK learning and social experience.
Jessica Boog Hillier – International Admissions & Administration Assistant
Jessica worked in various business administration roles prior to joining the International Department.
Jessica is a very enthusiastic and helpful member of the team, providing excellent customer service to our students and a high level of administrative support to the International Department in its operations.
Catalina De La Vega – International Administration Officer
Catalina is originally from Columbia and has lived in a few different countries, she enjoys working within multicultural environments.
Having worked with international students for over ten years and been an international student herself, Catalina relates well with our students who are embracing their further education away from home.
Catalina has a passion for helping students have the best experience possible at Brock and in the UK.
