French Improving Beginners
Course introduction
This learning opportunity is designed for people who have completed a beginner’s course and are keen to continue their French language learning. Through lots of conversation, plus speaking and listening exercises, you will become more confident in communicating orally in practical situations. The course will also include an element of grammar, along with practice in reading and writing. In addition, you will gain new insights into the rich culture of France. A range of tasks and activities will be set during lessons, and there will be weekly homework as well. There is no formal testing. However, all work and progress will be monitored in class.
Course information
This course is suitable for people who have a basic knowledge of the French language, or indeed those who are keen to work hard at home and catch up. We will be continuing with Façon de Parler 1, French for Beginners 4th edition – ISBN 978-0340913048. This is readily available second-hand if you wish to purchase it. Please bring a notebook and pen.
