Pilates and Toning Exercises
Course introduction
This Pilates and stretch class is a good way to engage the whole body at a slow pace. You will tone and streamline your body, focusing on a squeeze-and-hold position for a few seconds longer than you might in another class. Benefits include improved posture, breath control and balance. Each class will focus on core exercises and muscle lengthening, before finishing with relaxation and a sense of overall wellbeing. The non-weight-bearing posture of laying on a mat will help you target different muscles groups.
Course information
Clothing should be comfortable and non-restrictive to enable ease of movement. Please wear layers to allow for warmth or coolness as you wish. Please bring a mat and a towel with you. Occasionally you will use a smaller towel to increase support, intensity and range of some movements, so please bring one. Please also seek the advice of your medical physician if you are receiving treatment, have had any recent treatments, or you are in doubt about any condition you may have that could affect your participation.
