Course introduction
This is a one-year programme that will support a student’s personal development through skills and knowledge in sport, exercise and fitness, and will prepare students to progress onto a Level 2 course. The qualification also allows students to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study such as team working and supporting others, independent learning and problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills and positive workplace behaviours.

Course information
Learners will need to come prepared with practical kit every lesson as well as classroom resources such as pens and notepads.
Teaching & learning
Unit delivery is through practical and classroom-based sessions.

This course is assessed through coursework. You will complete workbooks, posters and by lead practical sessions.
What can I do with this qualification?
Progression onto a Level 2 programme and then Level 3 programme. Careers could be PE Teaching, Sports Coaching, Physiotherapist, Sports Therapist
