Brock musicians live streamed a series of performances from the Kemball Theatre on Friday under the banner of SummerFest as part of their assessment schedule.
The online event, which was organised in conjunction with Brock’s Students’ Union, marked the first time in over a year that most of them had performed live to an audience.
Second year Vocational Music students opened proceedings by performing sounds from several different musical eras.
First year Vocational Music students then performed music from a variety of different genres, showcasing their versatility.
A Level Music students finally closed the event with cover versions of popular modern music as well as an original piece.
The students performed in their social bubbles using microphone covers in a COVID safe environment with social distancing and plenty of ventilation.
Music teacher and event organiser, Ryan Butterworth, said: “We are immensely proud of the students’ work over the last year developing some excellent skills that deserved to be showcased.
“Their resilience and passion for music has been an inspiration, and we hope all viewers enjoyed the performances and appreciated the hard work that went into them.”
