Brockenhurst College Football Academy Head Matt Tubbs has been appointed as the new manager of Poole Town.
The thirty-nine year-old former AFC Bournemouth and Portsmouth FC striker takes over the Southern League Premier Division South side from Tom Killick.
Sport lecturer Matt left his first managerial post at Bashley FC, which plays in the league below Poole Town, to join the Dolphins.
He was officially named as the new manager at Tatnam Farm on Monday, pledging to maintain stability during a time of natural transition at the club.
Matt makes the switch from Bashley along with his coaching team, including Brock PE & Sport teacher Leon Scott who will act as first team coach.
Matt said: “It wasn’t an easy decision to leave Bashley, but it’s a natural progression for me and my team.
“Our initial job will be to ensure continuity, keep the squad settled, work hard, and then look at perhaps bringing in some new players.”
Head of Curriculum for Sport at Brock, Kevin Jones, said: “Big congratulations to Matt and his team – it’s a great achievement for them.
“There could hardly be a better advert for the quality of football coaching here at Brock.”
