Twenty-four Higher Education leavers from Brock officially graduated last month at a ceremony in the grounds of Chichester Cathedral.

Eleven collected their BA ‘Hons’ awards in Early Childhood Studies, with just under half achieving first-class degree classifications.

Meanwhile, thirteen collected their awards for the Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years, with close to 40% graduating with a Merit or Distinction grade.

The two programmes are accredited by the University of Chichester, which is why the graduation venue was Chichester Cathedral.

Graduate Amie Knight, who achieved a first-class honours degree, said: “It was a wonderful day celebrating our achievements.

“We are thankful for the support, fantastic teaching and guidance of our teachers.

“We couldn’t have done it without them.”

Lisa Bell, Director of HE (Early Childhood), said: “We continue to be proud of our HE students and the hard work they undertake.

“Balancing work, home life and study takes a lot of dedication.”

Some 2024 leavers have gone on to do PGCE teacher training, while others have been offered promotion.

One leaver has secured a lecturer post at Brockenhurst College, teaching Early Childhood and Health Studies.

The latest application cycle for Brock’s Higher Education courses is open now.
